Merry Christmas... and 33 weeks!

Merry Christmas!!!

I'm lucky that my 'week change' happens on Thursdays... I get to change on holidays this year! Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve!

So, we had a Very wet rainy Christmas Eve day and night, and about 10:30 am on Christmas Day it started to snow... Still going... not really starting to turn the ground white yet... but it's pretty to see come down!

So, here's some pictures from Christmas Eve!

31 Weeks

How far along: 31 Weeks... please let there be no more than 9 left!
Total weight gain/loss: 14lbs
Maternity clothes: Yes for the shirts. I'm still wearing my regular jeans with a Bella Band to help hold them up since I can't button them anymore... I should cave and get regular maternity jeans, but I just can't find Tall's anywhere... and if I've made it this far without them...
Stretch marks: Just a small patch of two or three!
Sleep: yes, I'm sleeping, but I wake up quite a bit and sometimes can't fall back to sleep at all!
Best moment last week: Kaygan has really been moving alot, you can see my whole stomach bounce and if she puts her foot against my belly and pushes, then moves it while pushing, you can track her foot!
Movement: strong as ever, still mostly very low, but getting a bunch higher up now too!
Food cravings: I really wanted a meatball sub from Subway the other night, then I got one and didn't like it :( I'm also really liking greek salads and spicy food!
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: Been having Braxton Hicks Contractions. Not really a sign of labor, just one of those things that means we're getting closer to the end!
Belly Button in or out: Innie...but a very shallow innie! The edges of it are starting to puff out a bit... it's very weird and made Bobby's eyes bulge when he saw it... He actually told me to stop pushing my belly out... The eye bulging part came when I told him I wasn't pushing my belly out... it was just that huge!
What I miss: Being able to easily get up off of a cushy couch! Not having to pee every 5 minutes!
What I am looking forward to: Delivery. I think we've hit all the fun stuff now.
Milestones: Tuesday Dec 8th was my last 4 week dr. visit. We now go every other week for the next 6 weeks... at 36 weeks I'll start going every week. Dr. visits are pretty routine and boring now, but they somewhat seem like something to look forward too!

30 Week Veggie

Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments.

Thanksgiving and 29 Weeks!

So, I was 29 Weeks along on Thanksgiving. So, I'm posting this a whole week late, but the pics needed to be shown!!! This first picture is how big I feel, well, I actually feel much bigger! But this is as good as I could do to show it!
This is just me... 29 weeks, in a maternity shirt from my sweet Mother in Law... Kayla and Becky, especially Becky, both said this was the cutest shirt ever and wished they made it in non-maternity style!
Me again...
Ahhh, my sweet Husband on Thanksgiving. He and my cousin Jason made a beer can turkey on the grill outside...hence th ugly camo hat... The face, well, that's my man!
My brother Samuel sent these scarves from Afghanistan for everyone who was at our house for Thanksgiving, plus a few more for some other people. Everyone got different ones except for me and Kaygan, he wanted us two to have matching ones. He specifically picked each one for specific people... Bobby got a black and red 'Husker' one!
Kayla and I... all Afgany scarved out...
and again... with the traditional 'listen to the belly' shot.
This was supposed to be a cute sister shot... but Bobby just couldn't help but butt in!

So, we had a good Thanksgiving. It was small, only about 22 people were there I think. Still fun though!

Baby Room Inspiration

I demanded Purple, Bobby wanted Ladybugs. Well, he didn't really care, but he didn't just want purple with no 'theme' ie. critter. So, Ladybugs it is!

It's semi funny/ironic/sentimental as well. My sister Becky will be one of Kaygan's Godmothers, and she has a hatred for Ladybugs. However, since she developed this dislike, people have given her ladybug items, and she even named one of her dogs Ladybug.

So, I've been crafting away, painting things purple with little ladybugs on it etc. I found a fabric that I want to make a blanket or burp cloth out of that has ladybugs on it... the rest of the fabric is Pink, which I'm not crazy about, but, whatchya gonna do... the ladybugs are just too cute to pass up! I'll add pics of it when I finish!

Subway for Breakfast

Yup! That's what I had today!

Bobby and I got Subway for supper last night, and I couldn't finish my foot long, so I decided to eat the rest of it for lunch today. Little did I know that extra pickles and spicy southwest sauce would sound so good at 8:30 this morning! So yup, that's what I ate for breakfast! It was very Yummy!!!

28 Weeks

"Don't you just love being Pregnant"?

That's what I've been asked by a few people lately... and my answer?: "Sure, we're really excited for her to get here!"

That of course isn't really answering the questions, but it's one of those questions that people ask and they really only want to hear a happy answer. What my real answer would be is "NO I DON'T!" Sorry, but this will probably turn into a really long whiney vent!

I love our little girl to death already, and I am so ready for her to be here for us to cuddle and play with, but I DO NOT just love being pregnant. In fact, there are very few things that I even like about being pregnant.

I like watching Bobby talk to her. I like seeing how excited he gets when he can feel her moving around in there. I appreciate hearing her heartbeat, and I don't mind some of her little punches and kicks. I did LOVE watching her move around on the ultrasound 2 weeks ago. She really has so much more personality than she did at our 18 week u/s, and we could see her features so much better.

But, I hate most of her movements, as they are quite painful. I like the reassurance, but not the movements themselves. She is sitting incredibly low, and things are being pushed and stretched in ways that some women have to deal with towards the end of their pregnancies, but most never feel the pain I'm feeling.

I've had horrible tailbone pain since week 12 of this pregnancy. I can't sit up or roll over in bed without Bobby's help, from the pain alone, not my belly. We've finally figured out that it most likely leads back to an injury from when I was a cheerleader in college, but the added super low pressure from Kaygan is making it rear it's ugly head. I'm concerned, but prepared, for this back problem alone to be what leads me to get an epidural. I'd wanted to try to go epi free, but, since I can't even use muscles to sit myself up without crying, I doubt I'll be able to use the muscles I need to get this little girl out unless I have some serious drugs!

I now also have a bladder infection. Painful on their own, even more so with someone punching at it all the time. I saw Mary Anne (our nurse) at the office on Tuesday, and she gave me a scrip to help fight the infection. It makes me very drowsy, and apparently, even though I was told that it would affect Kaygan in no way, it makes Kaygan very drowsy as well. Yesterday I made a call to the dr. office because of her almost non-existent movement yesterday. I could make her move, but she wasn't moving much on her own.

Basically, I love my little girl, but I'm in this for the end result of her being here. I don't care about some magical pregnancy feelings, I don't care about experiencing some wonderful emotional birth... I'm only in this to get my baby out of the deal!

Just 12 (hopefully less) weeks to go!!!

Hunting Season...

Graphic Images Below... you've been warned!!!

Well, Bobby and his friend Jordan went out hunting yesterday morning, first day of rifle season in Missouri. Last year Bobby had gotten a doe, but no buck. This year he said he wasn't shooting at anything till he got a buck. I figured I'd be in for a lllooooong couple of weeks (or however long the season is). Around 8:30 am he called me and told me that he'd gotten a buck! I was so excited... maybe I'd get to see him over the next two weekends after all! He sent me a txt of the pic, but it wasn't great quality. I couldn't quite count how many points were on it, but I could tell it was no puny little thing!

So, I figured that he'd come back and clean it and be done... nope... they stayed out there, got another one and finally came home to clean them... in the dark. How is that a smart idea? Either way, I got to play 'wildlife' photographer for them while they cleaned the buck. The smell was way to much for a pregnant woman to handle, so I went back inside before they were completely done... but I'm pretty impressed at how long I held out!

So, the afore mentioned graphic images are below! The first ones aren't bad, but there are some nasty blood and guts cleaning pics the further down you go!

27 Weeks

No, I didn't take a Bump Picture this week... you'll just have to live with the veggie baby...

Weeks 25-28 (month 6): Eggplant

Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

I think everything in the 'Baby List' is still the same, except for we've hit a new 'milestone'. Kaygan now has hiccups that I can feel...and she has them lots! Her kicks and punches are also becoming quite painful! I can't believe she's going to get bigger over the next 13 weeks and be able to kick even harder!!!

26 Week Bump

How far along: 26 weeks, Only 14 to go!
Total weight gain/loss: 9lbs
Maternity clothes: not yet!
Stretch marks: just the beginning of one... it's actually a former stretch mark that is getting some color back to it :(
Sleep: yes, I'm sleeping, but not well most nights!
Best moment last week: Bobby getting to feel her kick again and watching my belly do a little bouncy dance! Dr. Appt today and getting to see her again!
Movement: strong as ever, still mostly very low, but getting a bunch higher up now too!
Food cravings: Nothing
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: None yet... which is a very good thing!
Belly Button in or out: Innie...but getting flatter
What I miss: Being able to easily get up off of a cushy couch!
What I am looking forward to: Delivery. I think we've hit all the fun stuff now.
Milestones: 99 days to go... well, 98 as of today!

Busy Appt!

Holy Cow! That was the busiest dr. appt I've ever had! I had an u/s this morning to get heart measurements, check fluid levels and placenta placement. ALL looked good! I'm so relieved. Our fluid level was up to 12 and the placenta moved up to 3cm away from the opening. Yay for 1 less reason to need a c-section!

Baby is 2lbs, and in a funky position. She is head down, but has her legs going across my upper belly, so she's making an upside down L. ... and yes, still a girl!

During the u/s we got a fabulous look at her mouth and nose... she's going to have a really pretty mouth! The tech also kept commenting on what a cute nose she has! Kaygan was super stubborn though, and as soon as the tech started the 4d ultrasound, she completely rotated and faced my back. It took a good 5-10 minutes to get her to turn back to the front!

I drank my glucose drink right before the u/s... actually sitting on the u/s table! By the time we were done with the u/s, I only had to wait back out in the waiting room for 15 minutes before my blood draw. I had a different person than usual and the blood draw was not an easy feat for her! It sucked!

Then I saw my dr. We talked about a few delivery things, but nothing major.

Then, I got my Rho Gahm shot. Ouch!

See her pretty mouth!

The ultrasound tech couldn't believe how much hair she already had... that's what all the little white lines are around her head! (above pic where arrow is pointing)

That's her little footie!
She waved at us! (above pic)

Another 'skull' shot. Tip your head to the right!
